Shirovasti or Shiro Vasti is a word comprising of 2 terms, Shiro meaning head, Vasti meaning pooling of herbal oils and or medicated liquids on the head. 
Clinical Importance of Shiras (Head) and treatment of Head in Ayurveda
Shiras is considered
as uttamanga as it is the seat of pancha
Gnanendriya. Acharya Charaka mentioned
that shiras is the sthana where indriya,
indriyavahasrotas and pranavaha srotas are
located. Shiras is also included as one
among the trimarma and among 107
marma 37 marma are situated in shiras.
This shiras where prana resides, if injured,
may lead to death of a person. As said in
classics all shareerika and manasika
vyadhi are interrelated and is seen when
shiras is injured or affected by vitiated
doshas. All Urdhwa jatrugata rogas and
few other vyadhis are also treated through
Shirobasti Indications

Steps of Shirobasti procedure 

Shave the head completely and massage the head with medicated massage oil.
Keep cotton swaps in both ears to prevent the oil moving into the ears.
Ask patient to sit comfortably on armed chair.
Make a poultice of black gram flour by adding warm water into the flour.
Take a Cotton ribbon and smear it well with poultice of black gram flour.
Bind smeared cotton ribbon around the head above just above the eyebrows. Make it tight in such a way that oil should not be leaked out and patient should not feel any discomfort due to tightness of the strip.
Take a leather cloth or cap, fix its lower part around the head over the strip, and seal the both junctions of strap (leather cloth) with black gram poultice.
Take second cotton strip, smear it well with black gram flour, and wrap it over the leather cap at lower ends to fix leather cloth around the forehead well.
Now, it will look like a vessel hollow inside to put oil.
To prevent leakage of the oil, seal the corners inside with smear of black gram flour poultice.
Now, warm the oil just above the body temperature.
After that, pour the warm oil into the cap up to height of 2 to 3 cm above the hair roots.
Check the temperature of the oil regularly, maintain temperature of oil just above the body temperature by replacing a little amount of oil with warm oil, reheat the oil taken out from the cap, and reuse it to warming the oil repeatedly.
Duration of procedure is given below. According to body type of the individual, choose the best suitable duration of the procedure.
After the completion of the procedure, take out the oil by making a passage just above the ear, but make sure oil should not go into the ear.
Wipe the oil from the head with a soft towel.
Massage the head, forehead, should, palms and soles after removing the oil.
Rub Rasnadi choornam over the head and ask the person to rest for an hour.
Thereafter, patient can take bath with warm water.

Does hearing loss due to cell phone is sudden or chronic? 
Hearing loss is rarely of sudden onset due to constant cell phone use and headphones, in most of the cases hearing loss is chronic,it may show premonitory symptoms like, pain in the ear, ear blockage, headache associated with ear ache, nausea, dizziness, 3 months to 6 months priorly, and then person feels like reduced hearing Temporarily and if the cause is continued  and neglected, the permanent hearing loss occurs. 
Sometimes Hearing loss associated with tinnitus and vertigo due to Congestion of inner ear and due to increased pressure in the ear fluid called endolymph.
